My friends I bring exciting news! I have mastered the creation of the loafed meat! And I have acquired tools known as 'cooker of rice' and 'fryer by air' and even a 'maker of bread'!

I told others I would speak to them if I acquired such things, and learned such cooking. Please, come over! I have made an abundance in my room. There are loaves of meat and of bread. There are prepared rices. I even tried this 'fryer of air' on pieces of chicken to make 'nuggets' and they are a wonder!

[ Yusuke didn’t really go to the apartment buildings for obvious reasons. He tended to meet the few friends who did live in them in other places. So he approached with a curious tilt of his head around the blue building’s common room. Eyes roaming as he looked for the taller woman and the results of her recent cooking adventures. ]

[She has arrived there of course, working on putting a table there that she will move things to later.]

[ It doesn’t take Yusuke long to spot her, and his expression lights up as he offers a greeting. ]

Good day, Lauri-Ell! [ Lowering his hand from a wave, he looked to the table she was moving. ] Can I assist you with setting up?

[Ah, there he is. She offers a nod to him.]

Yes please. Can you assist me in fetching chairs?

[ Pleased to be given a task, he offers a nod and looks around. ]

It would be my pleasure to do so. Where do they keep the chairs? Is there a supply closet or?

[ Yeah, he doesn’t spend much time in the coloured buildings. Yusuke isn’t as familiar with the layouts, given he doesn’t live in them. ]

No, just around here. The first floors in these buildings are communal, therefore we may all make use of what we find.

I see! Then I shall gather up the chairs I can find and set them in a convenient place.

[ He responded with a smile, before he did just that. The teen went back and forth a few times, but had eventually collected what chairs were movable and seemed to fit around the area Lauri-Ell was setting up. ]

[She smiles at his help and then sighs.]

I need to go and get other things.

You’re quite welcome!

[ Though at the sigh and her comment, he gestured slightly with a smile. ]

Is that so? Then my offer for assistance extends beyond chairs, if you should like my help with retrieving other things.

Oh! Then come up stairs with me. I have many things to carry.

[More hands would help so much.]

Indeed, I’ll let you lead the way, then.

[ He responded with a smile, moving to follow along and assist her with the remainder of her task of setting up with all this lovely food she’d made. ]

[She smiles and moves for the stairs, happily heading up them at great speed. Not that she's rushing, just that her legs are very long and strong.]

I am glad for the help. It will save me trips.

[ Yusuke keeps up as well as one could expect, given their difference in height, though he is the tallest of his friends… Lauri-Ell has a considerable height by comparison to most people. Smiling at the comment, he offers a little gesture as he climbs the stairs behind her. ]

And I am glad to help, seems as though you’ve already done quite a bit with all the cooking to try your new appliances and the set up you’ve already done.

I promised many that I would make attempts to learn new things. I did not get to learn much through trial and error and experience back home. It is nice to learn new things. New arts.

I see! That’s wonderful that you’ve had the opportunity to do so here, then. [ He responded with a smile, glad to hear she’d had the chance to. ] There is something quite exciting about learning new things.

Especially when you can choose to learn them rather than having them bestowed upon you by orders.

Indeed, it can be… More difficult, I think, to truly enjoy something when you’ve been forced to do it by order or expectation rather than by choice.

[ So he’s happy for the woman to hear she’s been able to try new things. ]

And much of what I have learned has been about what I was forced to learn. I am glad to have choices.

[ Yusuke hummed lightly. It seemed a shame to force someone to learn something that they may not have any interest in. ]

There are many interesting things in the world to learn. I myself have recently been taught to bake by a friend here. [ Not loafs of bread, though. Those would be more practical than cupcakes, perhaps. ] Are there other things you’d like to learn??

Many things. What clothes are flattering. How to talk to pretty women. How to pet a chocobo so it makes that cooing sound.

[ Yusuke nodded as he followed along as she listed off what kinds of things she’d liked to learn. ]

I believe with all of those, practice is key, or at least I would suppose so? [ Though in his own experience, he cannot say he’s ever been ‘good’ at one of those things now and again. At least not based on feedback. Glancing up, though, he realized he didn’t pay chocobos nearly enough attention in this city. ] I didn’t even know chocobos made cooing sounds.

Yes, practice seems to be the requirement for the acquisition of all sorts of skills. However some of them I don't even know the initial standards for, so I do not know how to practice at them.

[She does smile though, because she's taught him something.]

It is a beautiful sound, almost like purring.

That’s true enough. Sometimes even I am unsure of some subjects. I was rather occupied by other things for a long while; I suppose. So there is much I have yet to learn or experience myself. But people are quick to voice if you’ve said something off or gotten something wrong? So that helps, I think, as embarrassing as it can be.

[ So confusing and embarrassing. But Yusuke looked rather awed by the idea of a chocobo making such noises. ]

If you learn how to get such a reaction from them, I should like to hear it for myself!

Why would it be embarrassing?

[She was so rarely embarrassed by things that humans were.]
