Happy to meet you
Who; Angel (Inesa)
unknownmoirai & Fayt Leingod
angelofdestruction
What; Meet up
Where; The fighting arena
When; Early February
Warnings; None, will change if needed
Fayt found the fighting arena and was there to compete. He was missing Albel and Cliff on his team, and Nel was always a good change up if the other two got winded. It wasn't like either of them would ever mention or admit that, but still, he knew.
So he got asked his name and Fayt gave it. But then he was asked what he wanted his team name to be which confused him because there wasn't a team to be had. Still, he went with the one Albel liked in Gemity which was the Arcane Warriors of the Black Brigade. Except, he changed it to Arcane Warrior because he was the only one there. So he went a few rounds and then the arena got damaged by another set of fighters while waiting for the next match.
Giving himself a breather, Fayt took a shower and managed a change of clean clothes. There were several more matches and so he found out he was unexpectedly done for the day. Deciding to stay on site, he got himself a bit of food which was more than he could eat. But he took it all anyway since he'd paid for it and made his way up into the arena seating. There with his food, he carefully walked through the stands.
A lady was already there, and he had to ask. "I'm sorry to bother you but is the seat next to you taken?"

Whatever the allure, it worked, because Inesa had spent a great deal of the day watching the matches.
Her thoughts were distracted when she heard someone addressing her. "Oh!" Inesa turned, her blue-gray eyes meeting the gaze of the man standing along the aisle. "Of course not. Please sit."
Inesa was dressed in a crisp white shirt and a dark green skirt. Her hair was loose, framing her shoulders in subtle wheat waves with a dark green beret resting on the top of her head. She was dressed for the cold with a pair of tights and sturdy black boots but she continued to rub her fingers together as if cold.
"You were in the earlier matches, weren't you? I remember you."

"Thanks."
He started to get comfortable in his chair as he set his things down and looked over at the person who had agreed to let him sit next to her as she figured out who he was. So a hand went up to scratch at the back of his head.
"Ya. I was competing earlier."

Many of the fights had relied on brut force and it was during those fights that Inesa's attention focused on the crowd but Fayt's fight had been different.
"Are you hurt at all?" She tried to think back to the details of the fight but she didn't remember Fayt getting injured. She was positive that he had won all of his matches. "I do not know if these fights often go too far. It is my first time to the area."

The party tried to keep their skills up by competing and dealing with things normally, but to hear it called impressive by a complete stranger took him by surprise.
But he did look up at her when she asked if he was hurt. "No, I'm fine." He had healed himself once he was off the field even as he'd done so on the tournament battlefield. Fayt smiled a little at the last part to her words.
"No, the judges call it on the field." Pretty much like they'd done back home. Still, this seemed a puzzle.
"So, you're new here?"
no subject
Her head inclined in a gentle nod in answer to his question. "Yes."
Inesa turned back to look at Fayt with a warm smile. "Is that unusual?" She didn't know how frequently people arrived to the city but she knew that there were several after hearing about the reason why they were all brought here. Compared to the Sphere, it was a noble endeavor.

But at hearing she was new, he had to try to smile a little bit with the one that was aimed right at him. "No, I'm new too. But I thought to try my hand at something I'm familiar with, to see how well I could hold my own."
He then looked away and inclined his head towards the ring. "I just didn't realize I wouldn't be fighting all day like I'd thought." Even if it really was a good thing.
no subject
"Who do you fight? And why?"
Her attention was firmly on Fayt though the occasional rise in volumeĀ from the crowd had her turning to look back at the center of the fighting rink.

But her question had him wondering if somehow he wasn't supposed to have been doing that so he hesitated before answering. "Do you mean here, or do you mean back home?"
He too looked at the ring but he realized the crowd was cheering for one of the guys he was eventually going to have to fight with. Well, that's what he was here for really.

Inesa didn't want him to think that she was judging him. She was merely curious about his world and his experiences in it.

Most.
Still, he shook his head at her words. "Well on Earth there was always fighting but I didn't fight there. We were able to travel to other planets where I'm from, and we fought to keep people safe and to stop people that wanted to destroy our galaxy."
Even if they hadn't quite gotten to that stage yet.
no subject
"That is very admirable of you. I had been traveling between planets and plans as well but I imagine my gates are different from your travel. I have only learned of angels and demons using the plan gates." That was what she'd learned from Alex and Richard back at the Sphere, though she hadn't considered that their Earth wasn't the same Earth that she had known.
It was all very interesting.

So the blue haired head shook and he sighed.
"It sure sounds as if it were different points in time or something like that."
Surely she hadn't heard any of what he knew so he decided to leave it where it was.

"I admit," She turned to watch the match as she continued to speak. "I do not have a firm concept of time. I have learned to mark it as a measure of passing but my race did not have such a thing. We existed for as long as we were needed." Inesa wouldn't die until her time was finished but as a Keeper, she would have lived a nearly infinite life span.
"I do not think it is something that I understand well." She looked back at Fayt with a smile. "So maybe you could tell me a bit about it? Your home, that is."
