[ Despite the circumstances Aerith's voice sounds strangely chipper. In fact, you could go so far as to say she sounds bright and cheery. The complete opposite of how someone probably should feel given both the circumstances of their own world and the circumstances of their arrival in this one. That's Aerith though, someone has to be the cheerful one and she's content to be that person. Besides, she's had quite a lot of experience hiding how she really feels about something. ]
I bet people get pretty exhausted by newcomer questions, huh? I really only have one right now, so I'll try to make this short and sweet! All I want to know is if this place has anywhere that people can grow things that wouldn't be in anyone's way. [ She pauses for a second. ] Wait, maybe there's two things actually! Can people open businesses here? I used to sell flowers back home and medicinal herbs. It always made the people around really happy and something tells me people in this kinda situation might need some happy.
[ Another brief pause and then she laughs lightly before speaking again. ] Oh, wait-wait. Maybe there's actually three. If anyone hears this and also lives in the Gray building, I hope you like flowers!

[Mono still wasn’t sure if that’s where they were going though. All he knew was at least they’d gotten out of the city before the signal got them.]
They are, it’s kinda weird but I like a lot of them… A few people keep giving me food. [This was said with a touch of marvel in his tone. Mono was still really enjoying the fact that he had a roof over his head and didn’t have to scavenge for food in dangerous places on a regular basis.]
I hope so. She’s kinda serious and quiet sometimes, but I think she’d really like this place.
[Who wouldn’t? He hadn’t had to run for his life in almost a month, even if he hadn’t relaxed entirely yet it was still a good sign.]

That's super nice of them! I don't think it's weird to like them, it'd be nice for us to all get along. [ If they all get along then maybe they can work together eventually. Or maybe they can currently work together to do things. It's definitely better than if they were hated or something. ]
I know someone like that. Serious and quiet, sometimes a bit grumpy even. I hope you get to see her again soon.

Mono hummed a little, it was weird to him. No one seemed to instinctively hate him here, and actually seemed more than a little concerned about particular things. She was right though,] It is, one of the people makes really tasty food. I hope everyone stays as nice as they’ve been.
[His tone gets a little curious though,] Thanks. Is the serious friend the person who arrived with you?

What kind of food has been your favorite so far?
[ She's asking the important questions here okay. ] Yeah, he is. He can be really grumpy but he's a good guy.

Someone gave me a pastry thing that had apples in it, it was really good.
… And someone gave me hot chocolate, I liked that too, but that’s not food, I guess.
[And sometimes grumpy people are fun to bother, especially if you could get them to smile a little.] I think he sounds a little like my friend then. I’m glad he got here with you.
[It seemed less lonely for her that way.]

Please, do go tease him, she'd love to see that. ]
He's a friend and my bodyguard too. I'm glad he's here too, honestly.

I can show you where we got it if you want.
[Hey, if she likes the stuff and she’s new? That’s important help to offer, right? He was told he should be helpful, after all.]
So he keeps you safe too…? That’s good, if anything scary happens here more than just the things at the docks.

[ Now she has something to look forward to. It'd be good to know where the best places for something quick and good to eat were. ]
Yeah, he does. He's pretty good at it too and I'm sure he'd be happy to help other people. [ Well, not really, but she'd make him. ]

[Since they lived in the same building, he guessed it would be easy enough. Gave him a chance to maybe get a look at her and this friend of hers beforehand too, if he was particularly sneaky.]
So he’s like some of the other people who’re here. [People kept offering to help him if he ended up in danger, it was very weird but clearly it was normal.]

[ She laughs. ]
I guess so. It's good to know that people here are helpful too.

[… Not like Mono had a full schedule in. He could fit her in between running around the city being nosy about the people he’d met so far and hiding in his apartment.]
Wanna meet in the hall or outside?

[And the child ends the call, he’s not particularly good at ‘goodbyes’ considering his experience in life.]
