Yusuke had at least heard of the creatures that had been lurking around this world of late, even if he didn’t know they existed in other worlds as well. That would be an interesting discovery. One that led to speculation over whether or not something he’d seen before might also exist here.
He’d never seen a Tonberry before, but he certainly found the description intriguing… Once he felt a little more settled in this world, there was a decent chance that he’d let his curiosity get the better of him and try to find one for reference. Illyana had said magic worked better on them than swords, but he intended to at least have one at his side… Just in case Goemon’s ice spells were lacking.
The teen at least wasn’t hard to convince of how to refer to Ignis. After all, it seemed more rude to not follow the other’s preferences after he’d asked, and it seemed more logical to call someone what they asked to save time on the back and forth. “Ignis, then. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” He responded with a polite smile and a soft nod of his head.
“And in that case, you can call me Yusuke if you like.” If he was to call the man by his given name, Yusuke wasn’t going to adhere to the usual expected formalities, either. It seemed only fair to him, and it would be good to find some… familiarity in this place. His friends had dropped all formalities the minute he joined the team, and it seemed to him that those who had arrived here were a team in their own way.
Not that he wouldn’t answer to other things. Sometimes he was called Fox when on a mission for the sake of secrecy, other times people called him Inari. The latter, he understood, was a nickname and a light tease about the disguise he gained when tapping into Goemon’s abilities. Apparently, that was something friends did, so even if it felt like a slight at first… He accepted it after a while.
