Shinjiro’s response gets a slightly curious tilt of his head. It seemed he hadn’t expected that, considering most people seemed to find their arrival here to be rather frustrating. Even he had found himself rather concerned about what he was missing back home, though learning that their time was effectively frozen while they were here had helped that. “Truthfully, as inconvenient as the lack of direction and sense of urgency to get back to what I’m missing in my world is, I would agree. The overall feel of this place and the energy are quite refreshing.
The offer is met with surprise as he turned his attention away from the sketchbook once again, and rested on the unbitten portion of the sandwich placed down between them. “Truly? You don’t want to finish it yourself?” He questioned as he lowered the sketchpad and pencil. The question didn’t mean he wasn’t going to accept it, really. It was more of a formality than anything. Yusuke wasn’t about to turn down free food, and… it reminded him a little of the way his friends sometimes shoved things his way to nibble on when they realized he’d gotten to caught up in other things again.
His fingers itched to take it, and so he did once he set his pencil back in a small tin with the others. “I suppose a small moment of respite wouldn’t do any harm, and I won’t have to lose the current vantage point of my subjects to enjoy it.” Scooping the sandwich up and taking a bite himself, his eyes lit up with an amusing energy. “This is very good, what a nice balanced flavour.” He mused at the sandwich. Simple but delicious.
“Thank you for sharing-” He paused, though, remembering his manners. “I’m not sure I caught your name, but I’m Yusuke Kitagawa.”
